Stylus Galaxy Note 9 Probably gets smart Features. The stylus that comes with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9, a new version of the S Pen, has some smart features.

That’s what reports say by leaked firmware for the Galaxy Tab S4, also an upcoming product from Samsung.

Both devices run on a Samsung-adapted version of Android 8.1.

This firmware refers to the functions of the S Pen several times.

For example, the stylus can be used to operate the music player of the Note 9,

 or to perform the shutter of the smartphone camera thanks to a built-in battery and Bluetooth.

Also, the Note 9 can be unlocked using the S Pen.

According to the firmware, the stylus also can perform actions within other apps, although it is still to know exactly how that works.

It is possible that users in the S Pen app can set which functions they want to link to the buttons on the stylus.

The Galaxy Note 9 will be announced on August 9th.

The device will probably look much the same as its predecessor,

 but according to rumours, it gets an improved Qualcomm processor. Also upgraded the camera.
