Secretary of State calls John Bolton a traitor

Mike Pompeo has accused John Bolton of harming the United States with his book. The former security adviser had violated the trust of the American people.
Mike Pompeo theSecretary of State has criticized former National Security Advisor John Bolton for his planned disclosure book. “It is sad and dangerous that John Bolton’s last public role is that of a traitor who has harmed America,” Pompeo wrote on Twitter. Bolton had violated the confidence of the American people in him.
US media released passages from Bolton’s book on Wednesday in which the ex-security advisor made serious allegations against US President Donald Trump. Trump is said to have subordinated his entire foreign policy to the goal of being elected for a second term. For example, he appealed to Chinese leader Xi Jinping to help him in the election campaign by increasing US agricultural imports. Bolton also described the US President as clueless, overwhelmed and as a politician who always places his re-election above the interests of the country.
Pompeo said he hadn’t read the book yet. But he could see from the excerpts that Bolton was spreading a series of “lies” and “half-truths”. “To our friends around the world, they know that President Trump’s America is a force for good in the world,” the Secretary of State defended his head of government. Like Pompeo, a number of Trump administration officials had already protected the president.
In an interview with, Bolton said Trump was not eligible for the office of president. “I don’t think he is able to carry out the responsibility,” said Bolton, according to a snippet released on Thursday. The 71-year-old had worked with Trump for a year and a half.
