North Korea fires cruise missiles during exercise.

North Korea conducted successful cruise missile tests over the weekend, state news agency KCNA reported. The long-range missiles flew 1,500 kilometres before hitting targets and landing in the country’s territorial waters during tests held Saturday and Sunday.
The development of the missiles presents “the strategic importance of having another effective deterrent to more reliably guarantee the security of our state and strongly restrict the military manoeuvres of the enemy forces,” the state news agency said.
