Katherine Heigl after severe neck surgery: ‘got my life back’
Katherine Heigl (42) has announced via social media that she has had a neck operation that has reduced the severe pain she had suffered for a long time. The actress shared several photos on Instagram, on which she can be seen with a brace around her neck. She also showed her X-ray.
‘Well folks, now I’m bionic! Two titanium plates have been placed in my neck, which means that I can probably stand on my head for hours from now on. I’m not going to try that just yet, but just give me a few months, and I’ll blow your mind. I am immensely grateful for the wonderful work that the entire team of doctors has done and delivered me from the most horrific pain I have ever known. They gave me back my life!’ said Katherine.
She continues, “Also, a huge thank you to Dr Robert Watkins for really treating me like a human being, not a number. He took all the time to go through the options with me, to ultimately decide that was best for my neck and, therefore, my life. It’s always scary going into an operating theatre and trusting the people there, but everyone who was there made me feel so comfortable. I can’t thank you enough for everything. ‘
