Hockey players start Pro League with a win over China

The Dutch hockey players started the second edition of the Pro League with a smooth victory over China. The team of national coach Alyson Annan, with Ilse Kappelle as a debutante, beat the host country in Changzhou 3-0. Ginella Zerbo scored two goals, in between Laurien Leurink also scored.
Zerbo gave the Orange the lead after 8 minutes. She crowned a nice action by Felice Albers over the line with a goal. In the first minute after the break, Leurink doubled the lead. She was able to type in the ball freely, after preparatory work by Malou Pheninckx and Xan de Waard. The hockey players of Annan had little to fear from China and decided the game again via Zerbo.
The SCHC attacker tapped the ball after a penalty corner by Frédérique Maltia had flown on the crossbar, and the Chinese keeper also turned the rebound. In the third instance, it was hit via Zerbo.
