European Leaders React Shocked to Nice Massacre
European government leaders have condemned the deadly attack at a church in Nice. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte were shocked at the violence.
Merkel said in a statement that her country is in solidarity with France.
She said she was “deeply shocked by the brutal murders” at the prayer house. Italian Conte said that “our values are stronger than fanaticism, hatred and terror”.
Three people were killed and six injured in the attack. The perpetrator, an alleged Muslim extremist, has been shot and arrested.
