Different Types of Industrial Boilers

Industrial boilers are basically used in any industry related to engineering. The other industries using these boilers include food industry, mining, chemical industry and industry of pharmaceuticals. Due to increasing demand of these boilers various manufacturers produce this line of boilers such as Caterpillar, General Electric, Atlas, McKenna, Dickson, Trane, SEMCO, Air Chem, Bryan, Oscar, Hoffman, Emerson and many more. These boilers are assessed by professionals in every industry before its purchase as companies cannot acquire these boilers from any random store.
The need of boilers in Industries
Boilers are an essential part of any industry and due to this reason companies purchase these boilers considering every aspect of their purchase. These industries require not only efficient boilers, but they should be huge enough to deal with the great workload. In industries, boilers need to operate for 24 hours a day continuously. Therefore, such boilers should be strong enough to operate seamlessly. These boilers are integrated with closed tanks that store fuel for boiler operations. Using this fuel boiler can heat water and generate steam whenever it is required to do so. These boilers can operate with different fuel resources such as electricity, coal, wood, gas and even oil.
Type of Industrial Boilers
You can find a wide choice of boilers for industrial purpose available in a variety of models and styles. However, you can find three different types of boilers for industrial use. These boilers are fire tube boilers, boilers with firebox and water tube heating boilers. To choose the right type of boiler for your industry, it is important to comprehend the disparity between these three types of boilers.
Three types of boilers for industrial working are as follow:
Fire Tube Boilers
Fire tube heating boilers are compact size boilers used in different industries. These boilers are easy to install even in limited available space. In these boilers, hot gases are transferred through tubes. There is a fluid present in these tubes, and this fluid is heated to produce hot water or steam with low pressure. The maintenance cost of this type of boiler is low as it can be cleaned easily and tubes of this boiler can also be replaced conveniently.
Water Tube Boilers
Water tube boilers are an expensive type of industrial boilers as they are huge in size and manufactured to handle enormous pressure. These boilers are not easy to maintain but can work for a longer duration with the excessive workload. These boilers are equipped with the furnace, mud drum, and steam drum. In the steam drum, the fluid is heated enough, and solid particles from this heated fluid are accumulated in mud drum. To enhance the steam pressure, this process is repeated several times.
Fire Box Boilers
Fire box boilers are fitted with a special box where the source of heat is maintained. Burning of heat source result in hot gases that help to increase the temperature of fluid contained within the boiler.
All three types of industrial boilers are used in industries for different reasons according to the need of industry.
