Biden Increases Lead Over Trump in Nevada

Democrat Joe Biden has increased his lead over President Trump in the crucial state of Nevada, from about 8,000 to 12,000 votes. The difference is now about one percentage point.
The western state accounts for six electors. If Biden wins there and if it is confirmed that he won in Arizona, he will have the necessary 270 electoral votes. He could then be named the 46th US president.
Regardless of the difference, a candidate can request a recount of the votes.
President Trump’s campaign team earlier in the day announced it was filing a lawsuit over alleged electoral fraud in Nevada.
At least 10,000 people in the state would have voted when they shouldn’t. Evidence was not provided.
Democrat Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in Nevada four years ago, with a 2.4 percentage point lead.
