10 Simple Tips for Anti Ageing
Small habits can be adopted for anti ageing.
Your body is fully grown around the age of 20. Then the ageing process begins. An annoying idea? Maybe, but you are on time! The effects of ageing can be delayed quite a bit if you start early!
Do you want to prevent ageing? Below are ten simple tips and habits that help you delay ageing.
1. Stress causes ageing
Disastrous for your entire body. Your complete body, from head to toe, every cell suffers from the effects of negative pressure.
People who experience a lot of stress age rapidly and those effects can no longer be reversed.
So? Ban stress from your life! Do what it takes to do this, seek relaxation, meditate. If you consider staying young and vital, reducing stress is your number 1 priority!
2. Keep smoking if you want to age quickly
If stress is enemy number 1, smoking is enemy number 2. It will not surprise you. Smoking is disastrous for your “young you”. Stop it!
Smoking can break down elastin and connective tissue, causing wrinkle formation. Moreover, smoking increases the chance of all kinds of cancer and other misery. If you want to prevent ageing, it is best to stop smoking.
3. Eat and drink antioxidants
Antioxidants prevent oxidation of your body cells (in short: cell ageing). This ensures that your entire body stays younger and healthier.
It neutralizes the harmful effects from outside (such as air pollution) and from inside (such as stress and waste from digesting unhealthy food).
You will find antioxidants in abundance green tea, (red) fruit, herbs, spices, vegetables and legumes. Please note: synthetic antioxidants in pill form often have the opposite effect. So keep it natural and start your day with blueberries and a cup of green tea, for example.
4. Be careful with the sun
Do not expose your body to the sun unprotected too often. Use proper sun creams and wear protective clothing. The damage caused to your skin by the sun is “stored” as it were. It never fully recovers, and you may experience problems later.
So start protecting your skin from the sun from now on! Do you want to get brown? Then consider rubbing your skin with a hydrating self-tanner.
5. Respect your mouth
Have you ever noticed that older people often have brown edges around their teeth? If you take good care of your mouth, your teeth will stay younger, and therefore your entire appearance.
You keep looking young, fresh and beautiful. Moreover, a healthy tooth always bites better than a denture!
6. Hydrate your skin
Keep your skin vital and hydrated. Use good face creams and body lotions to prevent dryness and to add useful substances and vitamins to your skin.
Also, drink plenty of water and green tea. Or make the healthiest drink there is – homemade cold-brew iced tea!
7. Live a purifying lifestyle
Purify your body from unwanted substances. Do this by drinking a lot of water, exercising and eating healthily (lots of vegetables, fruit, legumes and regularly some nuts and seeds). Water keeps your body hydrated and vital. Drink 1.5 to 2 litres of water per day for optimum results. And choose food that is close to nature to prevent ageing.
8. Feel your body
Movement keeps you flexible! So make sure you exercise enough throughout your life. Feel your body, be busy with it and do flexibility exercises. That way, you will postpone the stiffening effects of ageing.
9. You are not a garbage can
As said, eat natural food. Especially vegetables, fruit and legumes. Also, eat intuitively and mindfully. Do not consume more or less than you need; listen to your body in all aspects. And enjoy it to the fullest.
Healthy food helps prevent ageing. So stop the junk food and stay young longer. You are not a garbage can!
10. Love yourself, life and your body
Have fun in your life! Happy, positive people age less quickly. Love your body, give it peace, care, love and respect.
Remember that ageing is experienced physically as unfavourable, but mentally, it is primarily positive. You become wiser and calmer. Growing older with a healthy body is not that bad at all.
